I'm a user researcher with solid working knowledge of interaction design.
Before my journey in UX, I completed an Hon. BA at University of Toronto, studying social sciences. I worked in human resources afterwards, where I supported cross-enterprise learning programs and national campus recruitment. This experience helped me build deep empathy with people and be able to articulate problems that address both business goals and user needs.
With a growth mindset and a strong passion of products and technology, I joined the Master program in Digital Experience Innovation at University of Waterloo to study user experience research and design. My deepest curiosity about people pushes me to explore the problems from different lens of critical thinking and I enjoy uncovering discoveries and insights through close study of human behaviours, needs and motivations.
All the experience prior to my UX journey are so valuable because they helped me fully understand what truly motivates me and what impacts I could make to engage and help people achieve their goals. I would have not discovered UX -- the perfect combination of my interests in people, creative thinking and problem-solving, without all the dots connected together.
An individual human existence should be like a river: small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and passionately past rocks and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.
